Most address capture solutions would like you to believe that simply presenting a list of address suggestions is going to solve all your data quality problems.

Presenting suggestions does dramatically improve the quality of the addresses found - but people make mistakes that change what is suggested or stops suggestions altogether! This results in 10 to 15% of addresses being entered with errors.

But DataTools doesn't stop here

DataTools' advanced “Human Touch” logic can reduce exceptions from 10 to 15% down to 2 to 5%.

How? There are three scenarios when it comes to address entry:

  • User starts typing an address correctly, suggestions come up and the appropriate address is selected – a totally straightforward process.
  • User starts typing address and makes a basic typo. The inbuilt fuzziness of our predictive logic allows for basic misspellings so it can continue to provide the relevant suggestions and the appropriate address is selected.
  • Lastly, the user starts typing the address, making multiple errors that stops the suggestions (or they refuse to select a suggestion). In this instance we recommend allowing the user to input their version of the address. This is where the unique DataTools Human Touch™ approach comes into play.

DataTools Human Touch™ logic takes the full address as entered by the user and intelligently makes sense of information in the same intuitive way a human would. Cleansing the address, verifying it and repairing it, giving you the best data quality available.

    Sometimes it’s not the user but a browser that insists it knows better. Features like AutoFill often make mistakes or help a user enter their incorrect address even faster. Not to worry, DataTools has it covered.
