    At a Glance

This client has a significant role in regulating boating activities and ensuring water safety within their area. Part of their initiatives for 2021-2022 included the digitization of their most common transactions, such as the creation and renewal of licenses and permits.

They’re responsible for registering and renewing boat licenses, moorings, docking permits, sending invites, and announcing important information to mariners in their area. They manage many marine facilities and navigation aids. Much of their work involves promoting water safety as well as the safe use of personal watercraft and paddle craft.

    The Challenge

The client was looking for data validation software. As their business grew, they needed to find a different service that could grow with them. One big struggle they had was that their previous software only offered address verification. Additionally, it could not validate in real time, especially in bulk and on their website.

    The Process

    1. In October 2021, their former address validation company recommended DataTools. We met with the client to discuss their issues. Notably, they needed a product that could be implemented across multiple systems.
    2. We gave a DataTools Kleber demonstration and matched them with the most suitable plan for their needs. They were also offered a trial period with the software.
    3. In January 2022, the client extended the trial period to further test address validation.
    4. One month later, they integrated address validation into their public online web system and in-house system.

    The Impact

    1. The client integrated DataTools Kleber into their systems and started sending mobile numbers and home addresses for validation.
    2. The client can now register and validate new clients and customers simultaneously, with ease.
    3. After implementation, they developed an online platform connecting the customer login page on their website to their private CRM system.

    Key Takeaways

Enhanced data validation services were a key part of their digital transformation strategy for the year 2021-2022. The client needed software with more sophisticated capabilities and DataTools rose to the challenge with DataTools Kleber. After integrating it into their systems, they could bulk validate home addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers in real time from the front to the back end.

This is a part of the client’s plan to create a client portal that can facilitate common transactions, such as boat registration, recreational licenses, and moorings. Kleber allowed the client to process the creation and renewal of licenses and permits quickly and accurately, with minimal effort for the employees on the ground. As a result, they could focus on planning and implementation for other important activities.
